Mr. Nattanun was apprehended outside his home in Don Yai Hom Subdistrict (ต.ดอนยายหอม), Mueang Nakhon Pathom District (อ.เมืองนครปฐม). The arrest followed a complaint filed on June 4, 2018, by a victim in Khon Kaen who accused Mr. Nattanun of selling a BB gun via Facebook but never delivering the product. The victim transferred 7,000 baht to Mr. Nattanun, who subsequently blocked the victim on Facebook and ceased all communication.

Police Major General Teeradet warned the public about the risks of online shopping and advised purchasing from reputable websites with strong reviews and secure payment options to avoid scams.
Nakhon Pathom, where Mr. Nattanun was arrested, is located about 50 kilometers west of Bangkok and is known for its significant historical and cultural landmarks, including the Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in Thailand. The Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, where the arrest took place, is the provincial capital and a central hub for administrative and commercial activities in the province, and is about 300 kilometers to the north of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
