MUEANG PRACHUAP: April 2026 — Prachuap Khiri Khan is gearing up for a full-day beachfront Songkran — the traditional Thai New Year celebration — with municipality officials confirming plans to host the annual “Songkran Midday to Midnight #3” festival at Saranwithi fishing pier (สะพานสราญวิถี) on April 13.
The 2569 (2026) Thai New Year celebration will combine traditional ceremonies with modern festivities along the Prachuap Bay waterfront, as part of efforts to boost tourism and community engagement during the Thai New Year period.
Organizers say the program will include merit-making and alms-giving on the bridge, a Songkran parade through town, and traditional rituals such as bathing Buddha images and pouring water for elders.
The celebration will also feature a public water-play zone, including a fountain tunnel attraction, alongside live performances from local bands and student groups throughout the day and into the evening.
Officials say the event is designed to preserve Thai cultural traditions while creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for both residents and visitors, reinforcing Prachuap Khiri Khan’s position as a coastal destination during Songkran.
