Bang Saphan’s Highway No. 3374 Expansion Project set to improve regional connectivity
In April 2024, the Department of Highways initiated the expansion of Highway No. 3374, a crucial route linking Bang Saphan with Nong Hat Thai in Prachuap Khiri Khan. The project, which covers a distance of 3.55 km, is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve road infrastructure throughout Thailand, enhancing regional connectivity and facilitating better transportation for local businesses and tourists.
The highway expansion will address traffic congestion, improve safety, and enhance the efficiency of freight transport in the region. The upgrade includes widening the road, improving intersections, and installing better signage and lighting, making travel easier and safer for both local commuters and travelers heading to and from Hua Hin.
This highway upgrade is expected to foster increased economic activity in Bang Saphan and Prachuap Khiri Khan, especially in sectors like agriculture and tourism. As the region continues to attract more visitors, the improved transportation network will provide a smoother experience for both residents and tourists, driving further development.
The expansion is also part of the government’s goal to enhance Thailand’s national highway system, supporting economic growth through improved infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed by late 2024, bringing further benefits to the local economy and reducing travel times for both residents and tourists.
