Ezy Airlines reveales new aircraft, plans for southern Thailand aviation routes
On May 24, 2024, Ezy Airlines held a press conference at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, to announce the arrival of their new aircraft. The soft opening introduced their first plane, which will be operational by Q1 2025, and highlighted new routes connecting Hua Hin to southern Thailand. This initiative aims to boost tourism, support the economy, and sustain investment growth in Thailand.
Key attendees included Ongkharak Thongniramon, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan; General Supakorn Sanguanchartsornkrai, Chief Advisor of Ezy Airlines; and Than Tharapak, Managing Director of M-Landarch Co., Ltd. Additionally, local officials and business leaders attended the event.
General Supakorn Sanguanchartsornkrai emphasized Ezy Airlines’ readiness to offer both scheduled and charter flights, aiming to connect southern provinces within 60 minutes. The airline’s vision is to enhance quality of life by reducing travel time and providing convenient inter-provincial travel. This initiative also aims to stimulate sustainable economic growth and unlock the potential of southern Thailand for tourists and businesses alike.
Ezy Airlines introduced the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Ex, which seats 12 passengers and will be used for pilot training and initial flights from Hua Hin to the south. Service is expected to commence in Q3 2025, with Hat Yai International Airport as the central hub. Direct flights will connect to Betong, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Phuket, and Krabi.
Traveling in southern Thailand often involves long distances and challenging weather, making journeys over 1,300 kilometers lengthy. Ezy Airlines aims to address these challenges by providing faster, more comfortable travel options, creating a new market opportunity (Blue Ocean) that benefits the company, businesses, and local communities, while paving the way for new business ventures.
