The route climbs 496 steps over roughly one kilometre before shifting to rope-assisted sections with steep gradients of 45 to 90 degrees, reaching a summit height of 902 feet, or about 275 metres.
From the top, hikers can look out over Ao Manao, Ao Prachuap, and Ao Noi, along with smaller offshore islands. Wing 5 says all climbers must be off the mountain by noon for safety reasons, and late arrivals after 9 a.m. will not be allowed to start because of heat exposure.
Drones are prohibited, and photos must not capture the nearby airfield. The activity fee is 40 baht per person, with an additional 40 baht for an optional certificate. Officials also recommend gloves, proper rest, and sneakers only, while noting that climbers may encounter spectacled langurs along the route.
